Winter Artist’s Residency 2025/26

Come to the Outer Hebrides, stay in Sealladh na Mara cottage and be inspired by the unspoilt landscape, history and culture while you progress your creative projects.
The winter residency is for artists who want to spend focused time on a project, in comfortable, cosy accommodation within a beautiful area . Each residency should seek to incorporate Gaelic language and culture in some way. You don’t need to be a Gaelic speaker.
Residency holders can be engaged and immersed with the local arts scene or as solitary as you wish. Everything you need is within a few minutes walk of the cottage. Residencies are for either two weeks or one month.
Rates: £1100 per fortnight or £2000 per month, inc utilities.

The Hebridean winter residency is available for two week or month-long residencies from October ’25 to Feb ’26.

Artists all of genres can apply. There is provision for an emerging artist.

Summer Exhibition
One piece from each artist will be exhibited in a summer 2026 exhibition in the cottage.
